Gagauzia, the autonomous territorial unit in Moldova, will expand trade and economic cooperation with Belarus, BelTA learned from the Gagauzia Executive Committee.
Relevant agreements were reached during the official visit of the Gagauz delegation headed by First Deputy Chairman of the Gagauzia Executive Committee Vadim Cheban to Belarus. During the visit, a meeting was held with Deputy Chairman of the Minsk Oblast Executive Committee Oleg Plavsky.
The Gagauz delegation got familiar with a number of specialized enterprises located in Minsk Oblast: Amkodor Holding Company, Agrokombinat Dzerzhinsky, Belpotrebsoyuz enterprises. During the visits to these enterprises the parties reached some arrangements on cooperation in the field of agriculture, economy, and construction.
As a result of the meetings and talks, the parties agreed to establish a joint working group for the further preparation of the draft agreement on trade and economic, scientific-technical and cultural cooperation between the Gagauzia Executive Committee and the Minsk Oblast Executive Committee.
