Dozens of memorial events will be held in Minsk Oblast on the day of Chernobyl tragedy

In regions of the capital oblast will be held rallies, including in rural places

Dozens of memorial events dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Chernobyl disaster, will be held in the districts of Minsk region and Zhodino April 26, BelTA learned from the headquarters of the ideological work, Culture and Youth Affairs of Minsk Regional Executive Committee.

Employees of the regional emergency department, as well as veterans of the agencies and departments for emergency Minsk oblast will take part in a rally at the memorial plaque hero of Chernobyl Vasily Ignatenko (Minsk, st. Ignatenko, 4), which will start at 9.30. It is expected to arrive at the event of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and students of educational institutions of Minsk. The district (city) departments of the Minsk Regional Emergency Management will be held honoring veterans rescuers who participated in the liquidation of the Chernobyl accident in 1986.

Workers Berezinskii regional department of the Emergency Situations and students-activists of Belarusian youth public organization, fire rescue (BMOOSP) Berezinskii district to commemorate the hero of Chernobyl Vasily Ignatenko memorial plaque installed in Berezino on the street bearing the name of that person.

In areas of the capital region will be held rallies, including in rural areas. For example, in Molodechno district event will take place in the village Leszno at a monument to victims of the Chernobyl tragedy. In the children's rehabilitation and health center "Nadezhda" (Vilejka district) meeting will be held with the participation of partners and guests from the center of Germany and Japan. At a rally-requiem in Zhodino at the memorial sign in honor of local residents who took part in liquidation of consequences of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, it is expected the presence of about 150 participants.

"In all institutions of education and culture of the Minsk region themed educational events (memory of lessons learned, requiems), in school libraries feature exhibitions, information stands. The school museums are created changing exhibitions about the history of the aftermath of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant and the heroism of the liquidators of the accident. The regional newspapers, radio programs posted information on this subject, "- told in the headquarters of the ideological work, culture and youth Affairs of Minsk City Executive Committee on the work carried out to the 30-year anniversary of the nuclear disaster.

Experts stressed that the activities of the Chernobyl theme will continue in the Minsk region until the end of April.
