The central celebrations dedicated to the Independence Day of Belarus, Minsk region took place at the memorial complex on 3 July, BelTA learned at the headquarters of the ideological work, Culture and Youth Affairs of Minsk City Executive Committee.
As part of the regional delegation at the event at the Mound of Glory attended by representatives of Minsk City Executive Committee leadership, Smolevichi District Executive Committee and the District Council of Deputies, the regional organization of the Belarusian public association of veterans of the Belarusian Union of Afghan War Veterans, Youth Union. Participants of the event laid flowers at the Mound of Glory.
Minsk oblast delegation laid flowers at the State Memorial Complex "Khatyn" and the historical and cultural complex "Stalin Line".
In areas of the central region held a solemn meeting and festive events.
In Dzerzhinsk, in parallel with the celebration of Independence Day were held celebrations dedicated to 870 anniversary of the founding of the city. These sites have become a central urban area, children's park, meadow near the fountain, st. Leningrad and the city stadium. The opening ceremony of the festival began in the central square of Dzerzhinsk. Then the celebratory theatrical meeting with participation of veterans of the Great Patriotic War, representatives of labor collectives and the public of the city and district, festive demonstration, art project "Youth Dzerzhinschiny online" festivities. The program was provided for the opening of the new exhibition of the district local history museum, the exhibition "Koydanovo, mon amour!" - Fashion and style of the XIX century from the collection of the artist, countryman Igor Sumrachevsky.
