Sichuan Province of China is ready to increase the number of its enterprises in the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone, Alexander Yaroshenko, Head of the Administration of the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone, said after a meeting of a Chinese delegation with representatives of Minsk City Hall and the mechanical engineering company Belkommunmash on 16 February, BelTA has learned.

“It has been noted today that the conditions for Chinese enterprises at the park are even more favorable than in China. Our partners are ready to consider bringing other companies of Sichuan Province to the Great Stone park,” Alexander Yaroshenko said.

He spoke about the prospects of making supercapacitors for Belarusian electric buses. Today these components are manufactured in China. “We expect that in the future, a company resident of the Great Stone park will produce such supercapacitors in Belarus. This will allow for reducing the price of the products from the point of view of logistics. Besides, an important point is the convergence of Belarusian and Chinese solutions and technologies that we hope to achieve. The main thing is that the resident will make supercapacitors in Belarus and cooperate with Belkommunmash. This is a finished joint product. Efforts will be made to make the electric buses competitive on foreign markets.” It is possible that such an enterprise will be built already by the year-end 2017.

A delegation of Sichuan Province visited the industrial park Great Stone on 16 February. Its members were briefed about the preferences offered by the park. “They showed great interest. The delegation included not only Liu Jie, Vice Governor of Sichuan Provincial People's Government, and his assistants, but also representatives of business circles. They noted that many of the services offered at the Great Stone park, for instance gas and electricity, are cheaper than in China. We hope that other enterprises of Sichuan Province and other regions of China will get interested in becoming residents of the park,” Alexander Yaroshenko said.

Liu Jie pointed out that the visit to Belarus has been quite fruitful. He believes that the practical cooperation between the two countries can be strengthened. “I hope that more Chinese companies will invest in projects in Belarus,” he said.
