Belarusian automaker BelAZ opens maintenance depot in Russia's Khakassia Republic

The new maintenance depot will offer aftersales service not only in the Republic of Khakassia but also in the Republic of Tyva

A BelAZ technical support center has been opened in the town of Tasheba, Republic of Khakassia, Russia, BelAZ representatives told BelTA.

The new maintenance depot will offer aftersales service not only in the Republic of Khakassia but also in the Republic of Tyva. Mining companies in the two Russian regions can now enjoy direct access to BelAZ's proprietary service. This access will ensure uninterrupted operation of their vehicles, thus improving the economic effectiveness and output figures of BelAZ vehicles.

The center consists of manufacturing wings, warehouses, and an administrative building and occupies a total of 43,000m2. There are plans to build another warehouse as large as 1,500m2 in 2019. A parking lot for storing and unloading vehicles as large as 50,000m2 will be built in 2020.

A staff of 50 highly qualified specialists will be able to repair components of BelAZ haul trucks with the carrying capacity of 30-220 tonnes. Six teams for offsite repairs are also available. They have all the necessary tools for diagnosing and repairing BelAZ vehicles without delivering them all the way to the maintenance depot.

Representatives of the Belarusian automobile engineering company BelAZ, ZAO BelAZ Trading House, OOO Krasnoyarsk BelAZ Service, representatives of the Khakassia government, top mining companies of the region took part in the opening ceremony. An agreement on partnership and strategic cooperation in the aftersales service of BelAZ haul trucks was signed with OOO Zolotaya Zvezda. An agreement on providing maintenance and repairs was signed with the open-pit mining division Razrez Stepnoi of the industrial group Russian Coal.
